Titanium Seamless Pipes

Titanium seamless pipes (Titanium Seamless Pipe) are manufactured from pure titanium or titanium alloys through hot extrusion, cold rolling, or cold drawing processes. Due to their seamless structure, they exhibit exceptional reliability in high-pressure, high-temperature, and highly corrosive environments. They are widely used in aerospace, chemical processing, marine engineering, power generation, and medical fields.

I. Main Grades and Performance Characteristics

Common Grades:

  • Commercially Pure Titanium: TA1 (GR1), TA2 (GR2) — Offer the best corrosion resistance and ductility, suitable for general corrosive environments.
  • Titanium Alloy: TC4 (GR5 / Ti-6Al-4V) — High strength and excellent comprehensive performance, the mainstream material for aerospace and high-strength structural components.

Core Advantages:

  • Superior Corrosion Resistance: Excellent performance in seawater, chloride ions, wet chlorine gas, nitric acid, and other aggressive media — far superior to stainless steel and nickel-based alloys.
  • High Specific Strength: Density is only 60% of steel, while tensile strength can reach more than twice that of ordinary steel.
  • Excellent Temperature Adaptability: Can operate stably for long periods in a wide temperature range from -253°C to 500°C.
  • Low Magnetism and Non-Toxicity: Excellent biocompatibility, ideal for medical applications.

II. Main Application Fields

  1. Aerospace: Hydraulic system tubes, fuel lines, oxygen pipelines, and engine components.
  2. Chemical Equipment: Heat exchangers, condensers, reactor pipelines, and lines for transporting highly corrosive media.
  3. Marine Engineering: Seawater desalination plants, offshore drilling platforms, and ship piping systems.
  4. Power Industry: Nuclear power plant condenser tubes and thermal power plant heat exchanger tubes.
  5. Medical Field: Medical implants, artificial joints, and medical device tubing.

III. Differences Between Titanium Seamless Pipes and Welded Pipes

Titanium seamless pipes eliminate weld seams, thereby avoiding potential corrosion risks and weak points in strength. They offer significant advantages in high-pressure, critical equipment, and long-service-life applications. In contrast, titanium welded pipes are more cost-effective for thin-walled and large-diameter applications. For high-end and critical uses, titanium seamless pipes remain the preferred choice.

IV. Professional Manufacturing Capabilities

As a professional titanium material manufacturer, we possess a complete production chain from sponge titanium melting to finished pipes. We strictly produce in accordance with international and domestic standards such as GB/T 3624, GB/T 3625, ASTM B338, and ASTM B861, and provide third-party inspection reports (SGS, TUV, etc.).

We can offer customized services according to customer requirements, including:

  • Precise dimensional control (Outer diameter Φ3mm – Φ300mm, wall thickness 0.3mm – 20mm)
  • Various surface finishes (pickling, polishing, annealing)
  • Customized lengths and specialized packaging
